Paralegal
As a Pre-Litigation Paralegal at JLG Lawyers, I am dedicated to supporting attorneys in advocating for employees who have experienced workplace injustices, including sexual harassment, discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, and wage-and-hour violations. My day-to-day responsibilities involve managing pre-litigation case progression, ensuring every client receives the best possible support throughout their legal journey.
Before joining JLG, I worked at an employment plaintiff law firm for 7 years, where I honed my skills in paralegal support. In that role, I assisted with all aspects of case management—from initial intake and pre-litigation to settlement and dismissal. My work reinforced my passion for helping employees whose rights have been violated by their employers.
I was born and raised in Los Angeles, where I developed a deep desire to serve the community, particularly workers who face mistreatment. My passion for advocacy stems from the stories my grandmother, a farmworker in the 1970s, shared with me about labor violations, mistreatment, and discrimination she endured. Her experiences of resilience and strength remain a constant inspiration for my work ethic and dedication to seeking justice for employees.
I attended East Los Angeles College, where I initially explored medical records management and billing, which led me to a paid internship with the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health. There, I gained valuable experience in managing caseloads and medical records, which strengthened my organizational and client-support skills.
Fluent in both English and Spanish, I strive to ensure clear communication with a diverse client base. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and my dog, Hendrix, watching baseball, and following mixed martial arts.
Looking to the future, I aspire to volunteer at dog shelters and contribute to programs that support youth transitioning out of foster care and into adulthood, furthering my commitment to helping those in need.
